Rhodesart Water Dog

A recently finished project on oDesk. The client was very happy with this. I got permission from the client to post it in my portfolio. I got a glowing review with five stars rating ( as usual :p ) for this project. Just could not resist to paste the review from the client here :

"Sampad is exceptional! If I could give him ten stars in each category I would. He clearly has an expert grasp of 3D modeling software as well as Photoshop. He speaks (and writes) English better than many people I know in America. He also allowed me to strech out our contract as I directed him through more that the fair share of revisions. This was my first ODesk job posting and, thanks to Sampad, it will certainly not be my last. He even helped me navagate the ODesk platform! I am extremely happy with the artwork, the experience and value. I only wish I had more work to give him right now. When the next job comes up I will certainly seek out Sampad on ODesk. I cannot thank him enough for his hard work and efforts to create the exact image I wanted for my company."

I am so lucky to get reviews like these :)

Oldman action figure

I tried to make it look like a real plastic toy sitting on the counter top. And its supposed to look like someone has snapped a photo with flash on. I hope you like it.

The Old Man

Planning to make a 3d version of this....

Blues of the Jungles :)

These I did at the last of 2009 and also the start of 2010 for a very good client of mine. I was forbidden to show these work at first but just a little while ago, he said I can use them now and I put his watermark also. I hope everyone likes these.

A Lowlife Thug

This is a character who is a low life thug. Thinks of himself as Steve Jobs and he thinks he can see the future.
He is arrogant and a perfect hypocrite. I hope it all shows in his face.

I want more.....

I was very upset the other night... so my alter ego took over and I wanted to break everything around me. Instead I started painting him. He just finished beating up a swarm of fighters and now he still wants more. Some sound came from behind the exit door of the closed theater and the anti-hero walks towards that sound. Talking to himself.. or to the sound.... I still want more... more.... more...

Frankenstein

This is a Frankenstein model I did for a client. I wasn't able to do it in zbrush because it had to be converted into NURBS. Because he needed it to open in Solidworks. The idea was to make a real model by scanning the 3d one. Well.... i had to remove a lot of detail from this original model in order for him to be able to create the mold. I just got permission from my client to show it here. :)

Defend Your Castle

I have been working solo for couple of months. Than means I started my own freelance business. :D And this was my first project. Everything from the concept sketches to the character rigging and animation was supposed to be my job except the programming. My client was doing the programming and the other technical parts. Bad luck was that someone released the same game with the same idea before we could. So this is a tribute to our game : "Defend your Castle".

Wacom test

Add ImageSo I was trying to buy a goo graphic tablet... which is not available in Bangladesh. The only brand available here is Genius G-pen which is crap. Emu vi said he has a G-pen that works just fine and really low price.. but only 4 inches. I said I wanna try it. So he gave it to me for a few days so that I could test it.
Well what you know,.. it works really fine! It has 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity! Which is double the times of Wacom Intuos 3! Only thing wrong with it is that you become electrocuted as long as you touch it. So, I was wearing a pair of plastic sandals all the time. When my wife came to touch me... she jumped away because I was electrifying!! Ha Ha Ha!!!
